How to tie Waist Beads

1. Slide all beads to the center of the thread for an even fit.
2. Wrap the beads from behind, crossing the string at your waist or hips.
3. Leave space for natural movement, bloating, and bending.

5. Cut off extra string and beads, reuse them as anklets or bracelets.
Optional: add a drop of glue or lightly seal the knot with heat for extra security.

How to measure yourself for waist beads

1. Always measure on bare skin, not over clothes (unless you plan to wear them on top).
2. Wrap the measuring tape snugly but not too tight.
3. Do not suck in your stomach,
your body is perfect as it is.
4. Most people measure just below the belly button; if you prefer, adjust higher or lower.
5. Using waist beads for weight tracking? Measure around your belly: they loosen as you lose weight and tighten if you gain.

What are waist beads, and what do they symbolize?

Waist beads are traditional body jewelry worn around the waist or hips, deeply rooted in African culture, especially in Ghana. They symbolize femininity, sensuality, spiritual well-being, fertility, and strength. Each strand carries meaning, whether it's a celebration of womanhood, a personal ritual, or a form of self-expression.

What’s the difference between tie-on and removable waist beads?

Tie-on waist beads are made to stay on permanently, until you choose to cut them off. They're perfect for intention-setting and manifestation rituals.
Removable waist beads come with a closure and can be taken on and off, making them ideal as fashion accessories or for more flexibility.
